Dr. M. S. Sahoo, a leading authority on markets and regulations, practices law at Dr. Sahoo Regulatory Chambers. He has over four decades of experience in economic policy and reforms, including two decades in regulations relating to financial markets. Dr. Sahoo played high-impact roles, including Distinguished Professor at the National Law University Delhi; Chairperson of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India; Member of the Competition Commission of India; Secretary of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India; Whole-time Member of Securities and Exchange Board of India; and Economic Adviser to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. ADITYA BHATTACHARJEA retired in December 2022 as Senior Professor of Economics at the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, after teaching postgraduate courses in international trade, industrial organization, and Indian economic development and policy for over 26 years. He served as Head of the Economics Department of the DSE from 2014 to 2018. He earlier taught for many years at St Stephen’s College, Delhi (1980-96), and was a visiting associate professor at Duke University, USA (2002), and a Shastri Indo-Canadian Faculty Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Canada (2012). He is currently a Visiting Professor at the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development, New Delhi, and Honorary Senior Fellow of The Dialogue, a technology law and policy think tank in New Delhi. Professor Bhattacharjea holds a B.A. (Hons) degree from the University of Delhi (St Stephen’s College), an M.A. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, an M.Phil. degree from the University of Cambridge, and obtained his Ph.D. from Boston University. His research interests include competition (antitrust) law, economics, and policy; trade policy under imperfect competition; and current Indian economic issues, especially trade policy, competition policy, and labour regulation. He has published over 60 research papers in leading law and economics journals and edited volumes in India and abroad. Professor Bhattacharjea served as a member of the Expert Group on Trade and Competition Policy, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, in 2002-03. Amit Kapur is a Partner at J. Sagar Associates (JSA) and has been with the firm since 2000. He is Chairman of the OECD Competition Committee (since 1994), and Co-Director of the European Center for Law and Economics of ESSEC (since 2008). He was previously Non-Executive Director of the Office of Fair Trading in the United Kingdom (2007- 14), Judge on the French Supreme Court (Cour de cassation, Economic Commercial and Financial Chamber) from 2004 to August 2012, Vice Chair of the French Competition Authority (1993-2004) and President of the WTO Working Group on Trade and Competition (1997-2004). Rajat Kathuria is the Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Professor of Economics at Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence. He is the former Director and Chief Executive of the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER). He worked with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India during its Initial years.  He was the Co-chair of the T20 Digital Task Force under India’s G20 Presidency. Rajat has over 20 years of experience in teaching and 25 years of experience in economic policy, besides research interests on a range of issues relating to regulation and competition policy.
