CUTS Institute for Regulation & Competition (CIRC) in association with NERA Economic Consulting is organising 4th edition of Winter School on Role of Economics in Competition Law from 14th to 17th November, 2017 in The Orchid Hotel, Mumbai, India.

Competition law and policy is sector neutral and thus a better understanding of competition economics equips participants with tools to analyse interplay between complex issues related to competition in all the sectors of economy. The winter school aims to provide the participants with an understanding of the increasingly important role that economics plays in competition law and the relevance of economic analysis to a particular case.

Organisers & Mentors:
CIRC was established in 2008 by CUTS International. With the mission to be a Centre of Excellence on Regulatory and Competition Issues, CIRC primarily focuses on economic regulation in infrastructure sectors, and competition policy & law; law and consumer issues with an objective of reaching out to the target audience in India and other developing countries in Asia and Africa. Since its inception, CIRC has been undertaking several capacity building courses, seminars, public lectures, trainings and educational programmes on the identified focus areas in India and abroad. 
NERA has one of the largest in-house teams of economists in the economic consulting world and NERA’s Global Antitrust and Competition Practice employs more than 100 professional economists in offices in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia.
Trainers have diverse experience working in academic, regulatory and consultancy setup to explain the underlying economic theories and tools in lecture, case studies and simulation exercises format to bring the concepts to life.
